Mr. Wael Hamdan studied at the American University of Beirut (AUB) and graduated with a bachelor degree in Business Administration in 1983. He joined the Banking Control Commission at BDL in 1984. He graduated with a master’s degree in Money and Banking from AUB in 1987 and passed the Certified Public Accounted exam (CPA) in 1993 after two years of training with Deloitte & Touche in USA. Mr. Hamdan was an instructor at AUB and at the Lebanese American University (LAU) for 14 years. He was appointed Board Member of Ogero from 1988 to 1998.
Mr. Hamdan was appointed and elected for five consecutive years in the Lebanon Association for Certified Public Accountants between 1994 and 1998. Mr. Hamdan is the Executive director at BDL and has been Head of the Financing Unit. Mr. Hamdan has also been Head of Finance at Middle East Airlines since 1997.
